Editor's review
This software tool helps remove edit, print and other such restrictions from PDF files.
The product is originally named Kernel for PDF Restriction Remover. It is for removing all those restrictions you can create for PDF documents that stop you from edit or copy of data from PDF files, extract pages, fill forms, modify images or tables, assemble the documents, create template pages or even sign the documents. Usually the creator of the documents will create these for preventing unauthorised changes on the documents once they have been created. However, even as an owner, you will have difficulty if you happen to lose the passwords. Even for your own use, these documents will be inaccessible. Sometimes users may need to do some changes or add notes to the e-books, documents, white papers, manuals, etc they have purchased. Removing the local restrictions then could be useful. This tool creates a copy with all the restrictions removed and does not tamper with the original.
The operation is very simple and the interface that supports it is also very simple. You browse and select the PDF you want to unlock. Select a destination filepath where the restrictions removed copy will be stored. Then you simply click on the “Remove Restrictions” button. When it is done you get a pop up intimation that it is done. What would have helped is a log feature, in case something goes wrong. Otherwise, this is a really simple and handy tool to take care of the problem mentioned.
